NEW REVIEW: ALL THAT JAZZ by NATASHA BOYD

There's something totally inconvenient about falling for your best friend's brother. Especially when he's turned into a pompous, arrogant, albeit annoyingly sexy a-hole that you'd like to punch or kiss to death at any given moment. Jazz Fraser learned her lesson early on that men can't be trusted to stick around. First her father, and then her first love. Finally over her childhood infatuation with Joey Butler, her best friend's brother, she's looking forward to the end of college and fulfilling her dream of travelling the world. She's determined that experiences and relationships wil be fun, casual and easy. But when her best friend gets herself into a relationship with a celebrity, Jazz has to do the one thing she never thought she'd do, call Joey and ask for help. Joey Butler is determined not to hold anyone back. Least of all his sister's best friend. And one thing he knows is that he's never been as attracted to someone as he is to Jazz Fraser. Even though she presses his buttons and drives him crazy. He just has to keep hiding it. He knows she deserves better than him. Her free gypsy spirit and her talent should be shared with the world, not be shackled to a small town guy. He saw firsthand what being married to his father did to his mother, and no matter how much he wants her, he'll never do that to Jazz. Repeatedly thrown together, Jazz tries everything she can to protect her heart and not fall back in love with Joey. But when Joey finally admits that Jazz is the one he's always wanted, all bets are off.

MELISSA'S REVIEW: 4 STARS

Before I start my review I want to say how much I absolutely loved the Eversea books. They have consistently remained at the top of my favorites list, Eversea being there since November 2013! So, saying I've been waiting for what feels like forever, is damned warranted. But the wait? *so* worth it. All That Jazz brings us back to Butler Cove as we finally get Jazz and Joey's story. My first impression of this book is: WOW! that was fun! Jazz is suuuuper sassy yet completely lovable. I was thoroughly entertained by her and the banter she held with Joey; their verbal sparring was a delight. And, hoo boy, the angst and sexual tension between the two of them is nearly tangible. The heat in this book is dialed up a little bit more than the Eversea books, and I can't say I'm complaining. Told in Jazz's POV the reader really gets to know Jazz. Natasha alternates between the past and present, and upon closer examination, All That Jazz reveals that it's much more than just a cheeky, beach read. I'd almost argue that this is more Jazz's story than Jazz and Joey's story. Yes the romance between them is present but her character growth is impressive as she experiences love, heartbreak, loss, confusion, happiness, and disappointment through situations and within relationships that are relatable and honest. This was my favorite part and I was happy to see the young woman Jazz became. I do have one small, minuscule complaint...MORE JOEY! I loved their scenes together and the way he carefully hid his feelings for Jazz when they were younger and the way he eventually abandons those strategies. I would absolutely love to read more about him, even a short told in his POV. While I don't think it's *completely* necessary as Natasha does a wonderful job creating his characters and detailing his motives and behaviors, I'm just greedy. And I want more. I really enjoyed being back in Butler Cove, and would absolutely recommend All That Jazz as a must read for all Eversea and Natasha Boyd fans.
