MIDNIGHT LILY by MIA SHERIDAN

Holden Scott is the prince of professional football. At least he was before he lost it all . . . or more to the point, before he threw it all away. Now he's out of a job, out of the public's good graces, and perhaps just a little out of his mind. So when a friend offers up his remote lodge in the wilds of Colorado, giving Holden some time away to get his life back on track, he can hardly say no. The last thing he expects is to see a beautiful girl in the woods—one wearing a white, lace dress who appears in the moonlight, and leaves no footprints behind. Is she a dream? A ghost? A product of his muddled imagination? Or something entirely different? Midnight Lily is the haunting love story of two lost souls reaching for each other in the dark. A tale of healing, acceptance, and the worlds we create to protect our own hearts. It is a story of being lost, of being found, and of being in the place between. THIS IS A STAND-ALONE SIGN OF LOVE NOVEL, INSPIRED BY VIRGO. Non-Paranormal, New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

MELISSA'S REVIEW: 5 STARS

An incredible tale about the healing power of love. Mia Sheridan completely surprised me with Midnight Lily. This story is absolutely brilliant and left me overwhelmed with a myriad of thoughts and feelings. Since finishing I've been trying to put all the puzzle pieces together, to make this story a clear and concise picture, but some of my pieces are missing or still turned upside down. I can't wait to reread it and revisit those pivotal moments that made me question the characters and their motives, made me say to myself "Mia, wtf!?", or made me cheer or swoon or cry. While this story is unexpected it is no less extraordinary than any of Mia's previous work. It is still full of heart stopping romance, rich and vivid imagery and the lovely and vibrant writing Mia Sheridan is widely known for. I applaud her for giving readers a story so unpredictable yet still so enchanting. I loved every single reaction I had to this story: surprise, hope, confusion, sadness, anger, joy. The characters were dynamic and endearing and both balanced and supported the unconventional storyline. Mia effortlessly brought about an eagerness and curiosity in my reading, rendering me completely anxious about finishing yet keenly aware of needing to remain focused and attentive to the story. She simply hooked me, and I loved every bit of it. I am left feeling bereft now that I've finished and hope/wish/pray/beg for more of these characters. Midnight Lily is an absolute must read for all Mia Sheridan fans and I would absolutely recommend it to readers who love to get lost in a story and revel in emotional and poignant tales.
