Can your favorite hockey players finish their first season together undefeated? Five months in, NHL forward Ryan Wesley is having a record-breaking rookie season. He's living his dream of playing pro hockey and coming home every night to the man he loves–Jamie Canning, his longtime best friend turned boyfriend. There's just one problem: the most important relationship of his life is one he needs to keep hidden, or else face a media storm that will eclipse his success on the ice. Jamie loves Wes. He really, truly does. But hiding sucks. It's not the life Jamie envisioned for himself, and the strain of keeping their secret is taking its toll. It doesn't help that his new job isn't going as smoothly as he'd hoped, but he knows he can power through it as long as he has Wes. At least apartment 10B is their retreat, where they can always be themselves. Or can they? When Wes's nosiest teammate moves in upstairs, the threads of their carefully woven lie begin to unravel. With the outside world determined to take its best shot at them, can Wes and Jamie develop major-league relationship skills on the fly? Warning: contains sexual situations, a vibrating chair, long-distance sexytimes, and proof that hockey players look hot in any shade of green.

MELISSA'S REVIEW: 4 STARS

I had such a book hangover last year when I read Him. It was a top favorite of the year, and I loved everything about it. Needless to say I was BEYOND excited when Sarina and Elle announced that they would be writing a sequel. I've been a good girl, patiently waiting to have Jamie and Wes back in my hands. There was definitely some serious freaking out when it finally hit my kindle. Way too excited for my own good, I started it right away. Picking up a few months after the end of Him, we find Wes and Jamie getting settled into their new relationship as a couple in Us. They're happy, having fun, and enjoying each other. Yet, they decide that they would keep their relationship on the DL during Wes' rookie year in hopes to avoid media speculation and backlash from the NHL and its respective teams and fans. Well, you know what they say about plans and all that. These boys are everything. Wes is still uninhibited and foolishly loveable. Jamie balances out Wes with his calmness and quiet self-confidence. They chemistry between the two of them is incredible. Their friendship is a delight to experience and their attraction for each other is one of the hottest I've read. They are both confident and alluring in and out of the bedroom, reinforcing my complete adoration for them. I loved their banter, the couch cuddling, their texting, and the newfound domesticity of their relationship as they settled into and began to define the roles of their relationship. My favorite addition here is new neighbor and teammate Blake Riley. This guy has absolutely no filter and is completely ridiculous but, I LOVED HIM. He was funny, thoughtful and a true friend to both boys and a supportive teammate to Wes. It was also a lot of fun revisiting some of Jamie's family, such as his mom and sister. And I guarantee you right now, you'll be begging Sarina and Elle for a little something something more for a few of these characters. I even managed to cry a little bit during this one. Not sad tears, but happy ones, for Wes and Jamie and the support they are ultimately shown. Read it - I promise you will love that part, too! However, elements of the storyline and character development left me scratching my head a little bit. Based on the boys I got to know and love in Him, some of the reactions and choices made by both Jamie and Wes seemed misplaced. The sources of conflict between them are relatable and genuine, and as such, are effectively overused in romance. I felt that these characters deserved a story a little more original and unexpected. Aside from my wanting a little bit more from the story, I thought it was still incredibly well written and moved along quickly without being overwhelming. I would absolutely recommend Us to anyone that loves humor, m/m romance and loveable characters.
