DIRTY ROWDY THING by CHRISTINA LAUREN

From the New York Times best-selling author of Beautiful Bastard, Beautiful Stranger, and Beautiful Player, Book Two of the brand-new Wild Seasons series that started with Sweet Filthy Boy - a story of friends, love, and lust. Despite their rowdy hookups, Harlow and Finn don't even like each other... which would explain why their marriage lasted only 12 hours. He needs to be in charge and takes whatever he wants. She lives by the Want-something-done? Do-it-yourself mantra. Maybe she's too similar to the rugged fisherman - or just what he needs.

MELISSA'S REVIEW: 5 STARS

Hello first 5 star read of 2016! I don’t even know how to open this review, other than simply to say, I loved it. Loved it. I’ve owned this one for quite some time, so I’m a bit (thoroughly) annoyed with myself for holding out so long. I also loved the first book in this series and my admiration for the sharp writing, relatable characters and deliciously hot sex (God, so hot) continues. Dirty Rowdy Thing is my new Christina Lauren favorite – I guess until I get around to reading Dark Wild Night, right? The chemistry and dynamic between Finn and Harlow is one that I seek out in all of my reads. And it’s not because their sex is hot or that their friendship is unfiltered and authentic, but because it is open and responsive. Without fear, they both give and take in a way that anyone in a relationship should be envious of. I loved Harlow a lot. I thought she was honest with an abrasiveness that doesn’t grate too harshly and curious without seeming feeble or desperate. Finn is a little surly and has his own shit to handle, but for Harlow he is steady and strong and genuine. I appreciated his, like Harlow’s, commitment to hard work and family and his modest sexual history. I loved watching him slowly fall apart for Harlow, his quiet introspection regarding his evolving feelings for her. And sweet baby Jesus, his hotter than sin mouth. I’d risk the seasickness if Finn Roberts wanted to tie me up and show me his vessel. Just saying. Christina Lauren have a talent so wide, I was constantly envious of the feeling that they elicited while I read this book. I laughed and swooned and even managed a tear or two. It is so well balanced with equal parts dirty and filthy yet achingly tender and sincere. Anyone who waits any longer to read this is a fool just like me. I highly recommend Dirty Rowdy Thing to simply anyone.
